Day 1 : Depart UK : Today we fly out of UK.
Day 2 : Arrive Delhi : Following your arrival in Delhi transfer to the Hotel. Visit Akshardham in the evening.
Day 3 : Delhi – Haridwar : Today after breakfast visit Delhi's famous places like India Gate, Parliament House, Indira Gandhi memorial & after lunch proceed for Haridwar. Evening free time to explore this holy city.
Day 4 : Haridwar - Rishikesh: Today after breakfast depart for full day sightseeing of Rishikesh, visit Ram Jhula & Laxman Jhula. Overnight in Haridwar.
Day 5 : Haridwar – Chandigarh: Today we drive early morning to Chandigarh via Saharanpur which is only 80 Kms away from Haridwar on the way from Haridwar to Chandigarh, we visit Shakumbhari Devi Temple.. Later drive to Chandigarh for overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6 : Chandigarh – Amritsar : Today drive from Chandigarh to Amritsar. Lunch on the way. Upon arrival in Amritsar transfer to hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 7 : Amritsar Sightseeing- Golden Temple and Wagah Border: Today morning after we will visit Golden temple and Jalian wala bagh. Post Lunch proceed to Wagah Border for enjoy parade ceremony of India - Pakistan. Rest of the day is free for leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8 : Amritsar – Delhi by Train : 2014 : Today we drive early morning to the station to board the to Delhi. Breakfast shall be on board. Upon arrival you will be received by our representative at the Railway station and escorted to the Hotel. Day is at leisure. You may visit Akshardham Temple if time perits. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 9 : Delhi – Mathura : Today we drive to Mathura the Krishna janma bhoomi. The drive shall be for 3 -4 hours approx to reach the town. Our representative cum escort shall take you around the temples in Mathura region. Later return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10 : Mathura – Agra – Allahabad (Overnight train): Today's morning drive via Sikandra, leads us to the mughal splendor of Agra to visit the Taj Mahal and Redfort. The Taj Mahal was build in 1652 by Emperor Shahjahan. It took 22 years and 22,000 skilled artisans to complete this magnificent architecture. Apart from the Taj, the magnificent Agra fort (Another creation of emperor Akbar) offering gorgeous views from its lofty walls, and the Itmad-ul-Daulah, an exquisite tomb to a persian adventurer who later became chief minister, whose grand-daughter Mumtaz married Shah Jehan. Her tomb, is of course, the Taj Mahal. Later from Agra we take the overnight train to allahabad, giving you the chance to experience India by rail. The train is equipped with sleeper compartments so you still get a good night rest- the sound of the rolling wheels lulling you to sleep ! Train no 2404 Agra cantt 2140 Allahabad at 0500 Hrs.
Day 11 : Allahabad : A city of many dimensions is what befits a description of Allahabad. In addition to being a major pilgrimage centre, the city has played an important part in the formation of modern India. Hindu mythology states that Lord Brahma, the creator god, chose a land for 'Prakrishta Yajna'. This land, at the confluence of three holy rivers - Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, blessed by gods, came to be known as 'Prayag' or 'Allahabad'. Foreseeing the sanctity of the place, Lord Brahma also called it as 'Tirth Raj' or 'King of all pilgrimage centres.' The Scriptures - Vedas and the great epics - Ramayana and Mahabharata, refer to this place as Prayag.
Day 12 : Allahabad – Ayodhya : Today we visit the temples and puja's at Ayodhaya Temple. Visit the Hanuman Garhi Temple, Dashrath Bhavan, Kanak Bhavan, Nageshwarnath Mandir , Ram ka Paidi & Ramjanmabhoomi. Celebrate Diwali in Ayodhaya. Overnight at Hotel in Ayodhaya.
Day 13 : Ayodhya – Varanasi : On arrival in Varanasi we transfer you to the hotel and the stretch our legs with a walking tour of the city. The city is the Oldest Living City of the World & traces of its existence are found around 10000 BC. Other than being a very holy city for Hindus, it also holds a very significant association with Buddha's life & Buddhism. From varanasi we take an afternoon tour to visit Sarnath, the place where buddha gave his first sermon. It has been a premier centre for Buddhism & has a rich collection of ancient Buddhist relics & antiques comprising numerous Buddha & Bodhisattva images on display at the Archaeological Museum. Return to varanasi.
Day 14 : Varanasi Sightseeing - Kolkata: ( Overnight Train) Today we start our day with visit of ghats on the ganges. Rise before dawn for an early morning boat ride presenting an incredible scene as the multitudes of devotees come to the river to pay homage to sun god. Witness the daily miracle to unfold, as the Sun appears triumphantly over the horizon. The sound of conches & temple bells add to the delicate pink fabric of dawn. The formerly hushed murmuring of ancient Sanskrit Shlokas (hymns) now rise, in one voice, to a crescendo of unparalleled piety & joy. Later we explore the city by foot to get the feel of this Oldest living city of the world. Later evening catch overnight train to Kolkata.
Day 15 : Kolkata sightseeing Arrive Kolkata in the morning. Afternoon visit Kali Mata Temple at Kali Ghat. Late evening return back to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 16 : Kolkata – Gangasagar : Todat arrive at Kolkata at 0720 Hrs. Later Ganga Sagar can be approached from Calcutta either by road and then by a vessel, or by chartered luxury vessels starting from Namkhana & Calcutta.
Day 17 : Kolkata – Bhubaneswar : Take an early morning flight to 'Bhubaneswar'. Commonly known as temple city, Bhubaneswar with a history of 3000 years, is a center of religious importance. The medieval temples of Bhubaneswar are known for their architectural beauty and wonderful sculptures. The city dotted with around 600 temples also happens to be a well planned IT hub and rapidly developing city of India. Thus a combination of age old architectural splendour and modern life is a fascinating mocktail for the travelers. Visit the ornate 7th century AD Mukteswara Temple. The sculpted gateway, decorated interiors and diamond shaped latticed windows and the intricate carvings make the temple a true eye-candy. Also visit the Parashurameshwara Temple; one of the best preserved temples out of a horde of stunning medieval age edifices is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Day 18 : Bhubaneswar – Puri : (Driving time: 2 hrs & 1 hr) : A visit to Dhauli, Pipli Village & Konark (Sun Temple) is planned in between the drive to Puri. In Dhauli visit Peace Pagoda also known as Shanti Stupa and have a glimpse of two ancient rock edicts, today eclipsed by the presence of the Pagoda. And then visit Pipli Village which is known for Orissa Handicrafts the town is renowned for exquisite appliqué craft in Orissa. You can shop for exquisite articles such as lampshades, handbags, cushion covers and others designed in appliqué patterns. Then there will be a visit to stunning Konark Temple dedicated to Sun God built by King Langula Narasimha Deva in the 13 century AD is well known for Orissa art. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Konark Temple is formed in the form of chariot of Lord Surya (Sun) drawn by seven spirited horses. The exquisitely ornamented wheels and the intricate designing of the temple makes for one of the most sublime monuments of the country. The entire temple complex is dotted with sculptures of an unmatched beauty and grace. Post a sightseeing tour of the region you will resume the journey to Puri.
Day 19 : Puri : You will be taken for a trip to Jagannath Temple crowned by 'Srichakra' (an eight spoked wheel) of Vishnu is dedicated to Krishna. The major attraction of this temple is its Rath Yatra or the Chariot festival which is held once a year.
Day 20 : Bhubaneswar – Mumbai: Transfer to airport for flight to Mumbai. Arrival at Mumbai. Board late night flight from Mumbai to UK or finish your journey in Mumbai.
Day 21: Mumbai- UK Arrive UK after overnight flight from Mumbai
